"Picasso is the name of this Ladybird. It is one of my favourite pieces. This name came to me whilst I was making it. So it is more a kind of feeling. It is true Picasso is my favourite artist. Like me, he has worked in many styles. This ladybird means also a new style for me. Indeed, I have hesitated for a moment if it would be right to call it after Picasso, but when I saw that CitroŽn Picasso driving around, I knew for sure it would be all right. I love ladybirds. I have a special relationship with nature and the ladybird is the protector of flowers and plants. A very courageous creature "
